Cost Center

Go to Admin --> Orders

There is Cost Center Groups, Cost Centers and Cost Center Events.


Cost Center Groups:

  • This is where you need to start in order to set up the Cost Centers and the Cost Center Events.
  • Start by clicking New and entering in any description.
  • Slide the slider to the right if it is Active and to the left if it is not.

Cost Centers:

Now that the Cost Center Groups are set up, the Cost Centers can be created.

  • Create a new cost center by clicking New and entering in the details.
    • Only the Cost Center Group is required before saving.
    • Make sure to Slide the slider to the right if it is Active and to the left if it is not.
  • Column header sorting is available to make searching through the Cost Centers easier.

Cost Center Events:

Click New, create a description and choose a Cost Center.

  • Captures Production- turn this option on to capture production output per cost center event. 
    • After scanning all the correct barcodes, users will be asked to enter Quantity Produced and Quantity Scrapped.
    • It should appear similar to the image below when you go to view the Job Events in Tracking.
  • Captures Labor- turn this option on to capture the total cost of labor (people x rates) for what the job cost in a particular cost center.
    • After scanning all the barcodes, users will be asked to enter Employee(s) and Hrs Per Employee. It will then calculate the Total Hours as shown below.

  • Has Stop Event- this will give you a green play button next to the Cost Center Event until you scan the same one again. It will then turn to a red stop icon (as shown above).
  • Is Single user- this will allow multiple employees to run the same vent at the same time. However the employee that started an event must be the one to stop that event. If another employee tries to stop it, the system will start another event.
  • Active- this will simply activate/deactivate a cost center event from being available.

Make sure to slide the appropriate sliders if necessary for a Cost Center Event.
